Earthworks Surveying Services

Plan, execute, and verify with Reliable Topographic data

Get reliable preliminary or interim terrain models for earthworks and excavation. Whether your goal is to design, estimate, layout, or verify, our earthworks surveys will provide accurate and objective spatial data.

Using mobile laser scanning, drone mapping, or a combination of technologies, we’re able to efficiently collect topographic information on large spaces. With little interruption to progress, we’ll create precise models and/or run volume calculations to suit your purposes.

  • Road and interchange construction
  • Ponds and reservoirs
  • Commercial and residential developments
  • Cut and fill / quantity surveying

Why Earthworks Surveys

Efficiency

Advanced surveying technology provides you with access to data on large areas with minimal man hours and/or down-time

Save $

With objective data on cut/fill quantities, you can verify earthworks billing with factual volume calculations

Accuracy

Laser scanning technology can be accurate to within a millimetre so you can take our data and move forward with certainty

earthworks surveying Use Cases

When dirt needs to be moved for any type of construction, engineering, or architecture project, you need objective measurements..

  • Accurate spatial data for design and planning
  • Volume / quantity calculations for billing verification
  • Grading and drainage design and verification
  • Subgrade construction design and verification
  • Marking reference points to guide the excavation and construction process
  • Data prep / file output for machine control excavation

Deliverables

Tell us what type of deliverable works for you – from 3D models to CAD files to simple PDF plan sets.

Client Frequently Asked Questions

Do you use drones?

Yes we do. However, it will always depend on the project – in some cases when a drone is requested, it’s actually more efficient to use laser scanning. We will always work with the client to determine the best tools for the project in terms of project requirements, conditions, and efficiency.

How long does it take?

Turnaround times always depend on the size of the project. However, we do everything we can to meet your timelines.

Laser scanning and/or drone surveying can often be fairly quickly compared to traditional surveying, especially for large areas. So data collection can usually be completed with minimal delays .

The more time consuming part can be processing the data to create the deliverables. We’ll be able to provide a more accurate estimate after we know the details of your project.
